President Asif Ali Zardari's private visit abroad was entirely self-financed, and all related expenses were borne personally by the president, the presidential spokesperson clarified on Saturday.
Responding to reports in a section of the media regarding the president's recent private trip, the spokesperson emphasized that the visit was strictly personal and financed without public funds.
The spokesperson added that the aircraft used for the journey was privately chartered by the president and no national exchequer funds were utilized for this purpose.
"All expenses relating to the aircraft, including the crew, parking, stay, and other associated costs, were paid by the president himself," the spokesperson concluded, dismissing all speculations.
