King Charles Issues Message for Jewish New Year Amid Community Protection Pleas

King Charles III and the royal family issued special greetings to mark "Shana Tova" on Saturday. Buckingham Palace shared the public holiday message via official social media channels to mark the Jewish New Year. Reacting to the post, some followers admired the monarch's move while making emotional pleas, with one writing in the comments section: "Thank you! Please protect our community." Shana Tova is the New Year in Judaism. Shanah Tovah Umetukah, meaning "a Good and Sweet Year," is traditionally used.

Several other social media users also called the move special, praising the King for setting an inclusive example. The 77-year-old monarch often makes headlines for his interfaith engagements and adherence to royal traditions. Previously, King Charles III celebrated Rosh Hashanah by joining a traditional dance at the JW3 community center in London.
